Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Objective: Supervise the erection and inspection of pump and motor skids, structural steel work, tanks, pressure vessels, compressors and general mechanical equipment packages of SWRO Plant.
Main responsibilities : To plan and schedule the mechanical installation works and manage a contractor to complete the activities within required time frame and to project budget.
Reporting to : Site Construction Manager
Subordinates : None
Other interactions : Site engineering staff and Contractors
Number required : 2
Duration : Indefinite
Desired start date : 1 June 2008
Probation : 3 months
Working hours : 48 per week
Travel requirements : Through out the UAE
Gross monthly base salary : Depending on experience

Requirements

7 years construction experience.
Fully conversant with specifications, general arrangement and detailed layout drawings and P&ID's. Must be able to produce full and complete inspection and test plans (ITP's) for the equipment to be installed.
Fully conversant with appropriate QA/QC documentations.
Capable of inspecting and witnessing the mechanical; equipment installations and verify completion to project drawings and specifications Practice strong HSE awareness and be able to function within a site construction team with other discipline engineers and staff.
