The RoleThe RoleMain Objectives * To perform internal audit assurance and consulting reviews concerning the organization's risk management, control and governance, at the direction of the Audit Committee * To ensure that Senior Management is informed objectively and efficiently about the adequacy and effectiveness with which the organization's systems of internal control mitigate its business risks * To recommend business solutions for deficiencies * To raise issues of concern or improvement proactively with the Audit Committee * To maintain a strong customer focus Main Responsibilities * Internal Audit Management * Audit Execution * Audit Planning * Audit Reporting |
RequirementsRequirementsRequired Experience, Skills and Competencies * Sound audit skills, and understanding of the full role of a contemporary Internal Audit function. * Sound IT / investment / pensions audit skills * Understanding of risk management concepts * Good organizational skills; Ability to manage workloads to meet deadlines and priorities, Ability to handle multiple audit tasks * Good communication skills both oral and written and the ability to produce effective audit reports * Analytical and methodological approach to work * Good team player and the ability to handle a wide variety of people. * Ability to identity, investigate and resolve problems. * Sound judgment and diplomacy * Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure * Strong customer focus * Agent for change and Best Practice * Recognized audit qualification -- CPA, CA, CIA, CISA, CIA, MIIA, QiCA * Relevant degree -- business / accounting / legal * Minimum of 5 years relevant internal audit experience with a significant audit firm or within the internal audit department of a major organization * Pension or financial sector audit experience * Sound English communication skills, with additional Arabic competency * Competency with Microsoft Office packages, and audit software * Detailed familiarity with risk-focused Internal Audit techniques * Experience of auditing in a highly IT dependent environment |
