The RoleThe Role« To assist Projects Manager -‘Industrial to meet departmental objectives set out by the Division Manager in accordance with the corporate balanced scorecards and strategies, through an extensive management of multi-disciplined industrial projects from conceptualisation stage to completion and hand-over. « Discusses technical and commercial options with end-users and finalises the project scope of work and submits the final report to Projects Manager-Industrial. « To lead the implementation of projects and ensure progress of projects in coordination with the Engineering section, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors in accordance with the contractual terms & conditions (technical and financial) and the scope of work. « Serves as a focal point for each project in hand. Acts as interface between end-users, consultants, contractors, suppliers, discipline engineers, Industrial Projects Manager and other Engineering Projects staff. « Manages and monitors the progress of each project from conceptualisation to design, tendering, completion and final hand-over. Ensures appropriate coordination of various project activities in all different phases. « Follows up with consultants and contractors for submission of projects‘¦ As-Built documentation, guarantees, operations & maintenance manuals and their dispatch to end-users. « Submits weekly and monthly projects progress reports to Industrial Projects Manager and periodically updates project plans and schedules according to the progress of works. |
RequirementsRequirements« BSc in Mechanical or Civil Engineering « 10 years of project supervision/management experience in Oil & Gas Industry. « Knowledge of International Standards, Codes and Regulations of Oil & Gas Industry, such as API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NFPA, BS « Knowledge of international contract terms and conditions and FIDIC Codes and policies would be a plus « Good PC Knowledge (Word, Excel, Primavera Project Planner) « Knowledge in Project Management, Quality Control/Quality Assurance « Knowledge of prevailing industry safety standards « Communications and interpersonal skills « Presentation & Negotiation skills « Time management and prioritisation skills « Good Communication skills. Fluency in Arabic language will be an advantage. « Valid U.A.E. Driving License |
