Employment: Full Time

Lead the gathering, consolidation, handling and analysis of all information research and knowledge development needs of both the Marketing and the Operations and Planning groups within the SBU*


• Knowledge Management:
– Develop specific databases of SBU information needs (customers, markets, competitors, production, trade, annual planned shutdowns, new capacity additions, and prices trends).
– Measure and evaluate customer satisfaction outside the standard periodic customer research done by Customer Service Department
– Competitive intelligences within the permeable limits of industrial intelligence
– Assume responsibility for day-to-day handling of the database
– Additional market sentiments through web mining / sending sources / inter-department discussions.
– Produce a wide range of specific data reports as required (e.g. market reports on a country)
– Provide guidance and frameworks for the analysis of data by other SBU members.
– Business intelligence system development and organization structure development.

• Strategy and Planning Support:
– Assist with all data and analysis needs for long term (e.g. 5-year) strategy preparation (e.g. consumption trends) as required
– Assist with all data and analysis needs for annual business planning as required
– Assist with all data and analysis needs for investment planning (e.g. price forecasts) as required
– Provide recommendations on market planning processes and annual marketing budgetary and mix plans.
– Delivers in-depth business, customer and marketplace assessment to support business plan development and identification of opportunity areas
– Directs and commissions new market assessment initiatives to inform or improve marketing strategies
– Delivers clear strategy for emerging product/ market opportunities based on broad market analysis.

Requirements

• General Functions:
– Act as key interface for the SBU when working with external information companies (e.g. market research companies, publishing houses, external consulting companies and industry specific associations)
– Create recommendations on valuable publications to be purchased on line subscriptions, etc.
– Perform special assignments outside the key focus areas as required
– Primary research, descriptive study on specific business issues as required.
