Job description / Role
The Water, Power and utilities Business group is currently seeking an Assistant engineer to join it's team in Sharjah, UAE. The principal duties for this role are production of design calculations, general arrangements for gravity networks (foul and storm drainage), pressure distribution networks (potable, fire and irrigation), and pump stations in conjunction with limited advice from other disciplines. There are large areas requiring first time infrastructure to permit development for residential, tourist, industrial or luxury use.Packaging of work for remote design centre.
Other duties include the day to day management/guidance of CAD Technicians in the production of their work within the project team.
Requirements
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 2 years work experience in similar and hold MSc/MEng, Member of Institution of Civil Engineers or equivalent, some Middle East experience and Arabic language skills would be preferred. Should have some site experience as well as experience in design of urban drainage works and distribution systems.
The candidate should be enthusiasm, willingness to learn, adaptability, drive and focus to get things done to budget and deadlines are also desirable qualities.
