Senior Site Engineer

Job description / Role

Objective: To supervise and manage engineering activities on a large construction project in the oil an gas industry.
Main responsibilities : Analyze the whole project from drawings and contract documents. Access the sequence of work and planning. Prepare shop drawings and method statements. Estimate materials, accessories and tools required. Supervise and manage activities on the work-site. Raise technical queries and propose solutions. Prepare as-built drawings. Monitor progress. Claim extra works.
Reporting to : Project Manager, Engineering Manager
Subordinates : Engineers, Foremen
Other interactions : QA/QC Department

Duration : Minimum 1 year
Desired start date : Immediately
Probation : 3 months
Working hours : 7days/week. 06:00-12:00, 14:00-18:00
Travel requirements : Based on a construction site
Gross monthly base salary : TBA based on qualifications and experience

Requirements

University qualifications : BSC Civil Engineering, BSC Mechanical Engineering
Previous experience : 15 to 20 years working experience on oilfield construction projects, with at least 2 years experience in the Gulf.
Other Skills : Strong personality. Leadership skills. Good negotiating skills.

Language Skills : English, some French, some Arabic
