Business Development Manager (Logistics)

Based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Our client, one of the leaders in International Freight and Contract Logistics, is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to be based in Dubai, UAE.

Reporting to the General Manager, the purpose of this position is to plan, coordinate and control the marketing of the firm to achieve the agreed profitability and business strategy and to develop new business opportunities in the region.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify & develop new business opportunities in the region
• Identifying key growth sectors in the region to support and compliment the companies global sector growth
• Achieve project timelines and quality criteria
• Create and be accountable for all client proposals and contracts
• Responding to tenders and requests in a timely manner
• Create & maintain KPIs to measure the performance & profitability, justifying any shortfalls therein.
• Negotiating rates and service levels with customers & service providers
• Study existing competitor solutions
• Maintain a watch on industry developments within UAE -- in particular Dubai.

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

• Business Graduate
• Minimum 3 years sales/ business development experience within the Logistics/ Supply Chain industries
• Superior negotiation, planning and organisational skills
• Excellent networking and influencing skills
• Possess excellent English communication skills -- written and oral
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
