The Role
Because of Nakheel's continued success, there are now recruiting for a number of key roles, including a Senior Planning Engineer. Your key responsibilities include planning/scheduling and cost analysis for the development and/or execution of all phases of Project Control for medium to mega-scale urban projects.
In this role you will work proactively with the project team, end users and contractors to develop and maintain project and programme schedules. You will be required to conduct regular schedule update meetings with the team and keep them advised of schedule changes and actions required to maintain target completion dates. Other duties and responsibilities include: Resource load schedules and analysis of earned value data, produce summary, detail, and milestone schedules for monthly reports, provide advice as required when deviations from programme objectives are foreseen, assist Project Managers define schedule objectives, deliverables and team responsibilities, assist Cost Managers prepare expenditure forecasts, analyse Contractors schedules and challenge where appropriate, maintain scheduling procedures, resource levelled schedules, prepare presentation materials and progress measurement and Earned Value Analysis.
Requirements
Ideal candidate will be well educated and have a bachelor degree in civil engineering or other relevant qualification. This should be supported by six years experience as a planning engineer in the building and infrastructure construction industry. You should be proficient in using Primavera, MS Project and MS Office applications. You will also have the ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organisational skills and interpersonal skills. You will also have the ability to handle multiple tasks and have strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English.
This role is located Internationally and outside of the UK and therefore is exempt from age discrimination legislation
