Job description / Role
Because of Nakheel's continued success, they are now recruiting for a number of key roles, including a Senior Urban Designer. Your key responsibilities include developing pre-concepts, concept designs and schematic drawings for urban design projects of varying scales, reviewing master plan and urban design concepts to provide advice to project managers on overall design of plan, compatibility, feasibility, sustainability and level of innovation or creativity, integrate sustainability design into market-driven projects, reviewing subdivision plans for adherence and compatibility with sound planning practice, subdivision standards and sustainability, advise on urban design concepts and urban plan components, with special consideration to encouraging and advancing ecological and sustainable design concepts, including adherence to local and international green building and sustainable design practices. You will also develop and advise on Development Control Regulations and Urban Design Guidelines.
Requirements
We are currently looking for a Senior Urban Designer to be based in Dubai.
The person:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor degree in architecture, landscape architecture or urban design, or a Masters degree in urban design or landscape architecture is preferred. You will also have a number of years experience in urban design practice and the ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills and interpersonal skills. The ability to handle multiple tasks and strong communication and presentation skills including fluent written and spoken English is essential.
This role is located Internationally and outside of the UK and therefore is exempt from age discrimination legislation
