Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Supports senior management in organizational development or improvement initiatives.
2. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.
3. Recruits, interviews, validate and select employees to fill vacant positions.
4. Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
5. Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety and sexual harassment.
6. Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.
7. Responds to inquires regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
8. Administers performance management program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
9. Administers salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within organization.
10. Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, vacation, paid leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
11. Investigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier.
12. Conducts wage surveys within labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
13. Prepares budget of human resources operations.
14. Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
15. Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
16. Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
17. Contracts with outside agencies to provide employee services, such as recruitment or temporary service agencies, benefits
18. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements

1. Education & Experience: Bachelor's or Master degree in Human Resource and 5 years related HR with at least 2 years in managerial capacity
2. Leadership Skills:
a. Excellent communicator with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
b. Solid interpersonal, project management and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly present recommendations and ideas and to summarize complex issues.
c. Ability to build, coach and motivate high performance management teams, while holding others accountable for results.
d. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines.
3. Skill Set: Self-starter; highly organized; complex problem-solving; strong analytical judgment; strong business & financial acumen, project management.
4. Competencies: High standard of integrity & ethics; customer-focused, creative & innovative, yet disciplined; can-do attitude; aggressive in the pursuit of goals; results-driven; action-oriented, flexible and adaptable, change agent.
5. Other: Knowledge of quality management systems; computer proficiency (HRIS/training databases, MS word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet)
Preferred:
1. Having strong experience in recruitment in the gulf region.
2. Preferred: work environment manufacturing and/or R&D
