Job description / Role
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the UAE Technical Centre Manager, the main responsibilities are as follows:
· Undertake design reviews to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, verification scheme and/or certification requirements
· Undertake independent analysis of structures, as required.
· Maintain good communications with clients and designers.
· Work in client or designers' offices for temporary periods both in the UAE and overseas, if required.
· Work together with the "parent office" Fixed Structures Team, where required.
Requirements
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Minimum first class Mechanical / Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
· Chartered Engineer status preferred.
· 6-10 years relevant experience in offshore structural design and analysis (jackets, topsides, modules and foundations).
§ Familiar with relevant codes, standards and regulations.
· Awareness of emerging industry practices.

· Good communication skills, both verbal and written
· Adaptable and practical
· Ability to work to tight deadlines
· Computer literate
