Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Responsible for invoices processing and country recharges.
Tracking of Africa Global Support Function costs.
Operational risk management and assurance.
Timely, efficient and effective delivery of non-financial responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/CHALLENGES:
Processing of ARO invoices and payments.
Manage the recharge/ inter-company process between ARO and countries in the most tax efficient manner, whilst ensuring that supporting documentation are available to ease country claims for local tax deductions.
Clear down outstanding/ reconciling items on Nostro/ PAS
Provide support to countries with FX restrictions to ensure that their invoices are paid
Maintain acceptable minimum control standards over Account Payable in line with the Financial Controls Policy.

Global Support Function Cost Analysis:

Tracking and analysis of Africa Global Support Function costs to budget across Africa Region, ensuring that material items are identified and understood

Operational Risk Management & Assurance:
Serve as the ARO Finance Business Operational Risk Manager.
Prepare the ARO Finance Report for the UAE BORG/CORG agenda.
Review and consolidate the operational risk profiles of Africa Finance functions.

Project Accounting/ Reporting:
Where necessary, serve as the Regional Project Accountant (or liaise with the Project Accountant) to monitor and control the financial spend of projects to ensure that it is in line with approved PAR.
Track financial and non-financial risks/ opportunities relating to projects.
Provide regular project reports to the Financial Controller (ARO).

Requirements

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Educational background to a degree level and a (part-qualified) professional Accountant with a solid performance track record.
Experience, preferably in a similar Finance role within the Bank.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and different cultures.
Strong analytical skills.
Good judgement.
Personal authority and integrity.
Independence and resilience.
