Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Provide training, coaching and consultation support to Samref employees in the area of Chemical and the Refinery Process.
Assist in the preparation and administration of the development programs in the area of specialty for engineers and non-engineers, as well as, university/college students.

Identify, arrange and coordinate off-the-job and on-the-job training with Samref Manufacturing Departments as well as the out-side Training Vendors and other Corporations.
Develop and design new training/development programs and prepare/continually up-date curriculum for training courses including E-learning courses, computer based training and blended training.
Prepare and conduct Technical training courses and coaching sessions in the area of Chemical & Refinery Process engineering.
Assist in preparing and conducting training courses for Operations employees and LAB technicians as and when required.
Report the effectiveness and validity of technical training courses and maintain up to date records of training events in SAP.

Administer, follow-up and monitor the implementation of Individual Development Program (IDP) for employees in areas such as Chemical & Refinery Process under the ESP, MDP, CEP or any other development program.

Assist in the Career Development Process including the Proficiency Gap Program for Chemical & Refinery Process engineers and non-engineers.
Hold meetings and perform coaching and consultation on technical/engineering training support matters for Chemical & Refinery Process engineers and non-engineers.
Coordinate proper training for coop/summer students with Chemical Engineering Major and follow-up their progress with Samref departments.

Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as may be required by the Immediate Supervisor.

Requirements

Educational Requirements or Equivalent:
B.S. Chemical Engineering and Formal Training qualification. Master or Ph.D. holder in preferred.

Specialized Knowledge:
Refinery process, maintenance and operations. Communication abilities, both written and verbal. Computer skills and good knowledge in engineering software. Course design, develop and conduct.

Previous Experience Required:
10 years refinery/petrochemical overseas experience (preferably Middle-East), seven (7) years of which as an instructor.

Working Knowledge to be Acquired on the job:
To be able to do refinery related T & CD work assignments. To provide Saudi engineers and other Refinery professional employees with technical training tailored for various job targets.
