Our client are global leaders in international express & freight, overland transport and contract logistics. They offer a full range of customised solutions - from express document shipping to supply chain management. They are currently seeking to appoint a Secretary to the G.M. -- to be based in Jebel Ali, Dubai.

The primary objective of this role is to provide all the necessary secretarial support to the General Manager and shoulder all the administrative responsibilities towards effectively managing official and personal affairs as required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide all necessary secretarial and office support to the GM such as handling calls, processing correspondence, faxes, memos, etc.
• Arrange all business travel and booking arrangements including schedules for the GM and the management team.
• Attend to all customer queries, complaints and interactions with courtesy and respect. Address customer issues and forward them to necessary departments for resolution while always maintaining the professional face of the company.
• Provide secretarial assistance to the Senior VP during visits to Dubai and provide effective support in the handling of planning & organising of schedules, meetings, bookings, tickets and appointments.
• Make all arrangements for company visitors and customers visiting Dubai ensuring necessary visas, bookings and appointments are planned and communicated in advance to all concerned.
• Organizing and coordinating company events such as annual functions, parties, conferences, training and programmes.
• Coordinate with managers for monthly reports, consolidate the same and forward it to the GM in a timely manner.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Graduate -- Office Administration / Secretarial course
• 3 to 5 years relevant secretarial and administrative experience
• PC literate in particular Microsoft Word, Excel. Excellent typing speed essential.
• Excellent organizational & planning skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
• A superior, friendly and helpful customer service disposition
