Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Accounting Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for managing and building a competent Accounting and Administration function that is based on quality and timeliness.
The responsibilities include Accounting, Financial and Operational Reporting as well as the Administration part of Human Resources. Initially the Accounting Manager should be willing and able to perform the activities himself, but should have the capabilities to grow with the company.
The Accounting Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining good relations with External Financial related parties, be it financing partners, Auditors and Vendors to positively influence the funding of the business development.
The Accounting Manager responsibilities include;
• To manage all accounting activities (Payroll, Asset, Vendor payment, etc.) including maintaining the Company books of accounts ensuring that financial and accounting information is accurate, produced on time and to agreed quality standards.
• To develop and implement systems and procedures that meet the Company’s accounting requirements including consistency and compliance with International Accounting Standards and Board requirements.
• To ensure the accurate consolidation of the various books of accounts and proper reconciliation towards Dealer & Revenue systems.
• To set guideline for Daughter companies and ensure accurate and timely consolidation of their results.
• To monitor and follow-up on trends and developments within the Company that poses risks and/or opportunities.
• To ensure a precise and correct financial and operational reporting including forecasts to both internal and external parties.
• To setup and monitor Internal Controls & Authorization rules within the Companies

Requirements

The successful candidate is CPA qualified from a recognised professional body with 8 to 10 years post graduation experience and minimum 3 to 4 years of experience in a management role with overall responsibility of the complete accounting function.

The candidate has in-depth understanding of different account principles and has the experience to take the company on to the stock exchange via an IPO.

Experience from a mobile operator would be a benefit.
