Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Monitor, administer, control and oversee Qtel insurance requirements, to be involved in Risk Management processes like risk identification, risk analysis and risk transfer in Qtel. Co-ordinate in handling other support services activities.

The role includes the following responsibilities:

- Obtain and compile insurance requirements for tender purposes, Receive and reply to insurance queries, Evaluate and recommend the suitable insurance companies for Qtel, Negotiate and finalize insurance claims independently, Report and follow-up the non-insurance claims with the defaulters, Check the authenticity of premiums charged by the insurance companies, Reconcile the operating insurance budgets. Assist head of sections in carrying-out non-routine activities.

Costs & Profitability
Indirectly responsible for the yearly budget of over Qrs. 3,000,000.
Expected profits/savings around 10% to 15% yearly from insurance activities.

Customers
Internal -- Section heads, department managers and staff concerned. External -- Insurance companies, traffic departments, hospitals and labour department.
Business orientation
Secure insurance requirements from the concerned departments like properties details for Finance Department, vehicles details for Transport Section and for Cash & phone cards Customer Care Department.
Revise and finalize the insurance requirements received from the concerned Department/Section.
Planning & Organising
Collaborate with Finance Department in preparation, analysis and presentation of reports and to extract value of Qtel assets. Investigate and report on insurance development and keep the management informed.

Problem Solving
Works at his own initiative and maintain control over systems and procedures. Handles all queries from insurance companies. Provides advice to the line managers on complex insurance matters.
Communicating, negotiating & influencing
Responsible for negotiating & finalizing the insurance claims. Taking part in the negotiation process for the final stage of insurance contracts. He plays a co-ordinator role in the process. Attends meeting on non-routine matters related with insurance issues in Qtel.

Requirements

Potential candidates should have 5 years of experience in similar capacity. Thorough knowledge of third-party reimbursement, forecasting and planning skills, cost finding and analytical skills.

Furthermore, he/she should hold a University graduate degree in commerce or economics or its equivalent and be qualified in ACII or substantial progression in the similar qualification.
