Job description / Role
Purpose of role
The purpose of the securities trader role is to transact all of the securities trades with our client's counterparts for the Private Banking Clients (and the consumer bank on a SLA basis)
Key Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
1. Transact all deals with appropriate counterpart, including equities, bonds, funds, options, structured products.
2. Work closely with back office and mid office to see that all trades are settled on time.
3. Book all trades to customer accounts on a timely basis (same day, systems permitting)
4. Work with approved active trading clients to facilitate US and Europe market trading. (In accordance with the Bank's views)
5. Active calling on approved clients to keep them updated with market movements and news.
6. Actively transmitted bank's views to clients on timely manner.

Requirements
Competencies
Essential
Thorough understanding of how different securities trade.
Must be fully competent with our systems
Very strong attention to detail to avoid errors
Full compliance and understanding of the banks policies and corporate values.
Thorough understanding of equity market fundamentals
Specific knowledge & skills
Significant job related experience with Privet Banking products.
Education requirements
University level related degree and previous banking experience in the securities trading / settlements/ booking area of the bank.
