An exciting opportunity has risen to join one of the fastest growing retail groups with a franchise portfolio of over 30 brands. Our client currently operates over 150 stores across the Middle East with plans for extensive development over the next few years.

They are currently seeking a Financial Controller to be based in Dubai, UAE. He is required to lead and manage the accounting and finance department, defining, developing and implementing plans, policies and procedures that meet the needs of the business.


Key Responsibilities:

• Define, develop and implement Finance / Accounting plans, policies and procedures in line with corporate Finance strategy in order to support the achievement of overall business objectives
• Provide high-level, strategic consultative advice to other business area senior managers to ensure cost saving or efficiency opportunities
• Manage and control the production of key financial statements for the company
• Develop and maintain good relationships with internal departments and management, as well as with external agencies and service providers
• Attend and contribute to business planning and decision making meetings to support the overall business decision making
• Liaise with external representatives (i.e.: auditors, regulatory authorities)
• Direct the collation of data and company reports ensuring the provision of financial data to support Senior Management

Requirements

• University Degree in Finance
• Formal professional qualification -- CMA, CPA, CFA or MBA are a Plus
• Minimum 7years relevant financial experience preferably in the Middle East
• Well developed knowledge of all accounting procedures
• High level of analytical and problem solving skills
• Good people management skills
• Excellent communication skills in English and in Arabic
