Job description / Role
- Responsibilities include design, analysis, planning, detailed engineering, documentation, implementation, and evolution of Triple Play services over broadband networks.
- Introduce new technologies, value added service offerings and service quality improvements for IPTV Customers and ensures these technologies are ready for wide scale deployment
- Develops and manages the applications environment in the IP Multimedia services umbrella comprising of IPTV Middleware, AD-insertion, conditional access systems, video-on-demand, gaming-on-demand and other interactive services in the future
- Capacity planning and integration of strategic services plans and operations
- Works on problems of extremely complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of intangible factors
- Ensure continuous smooth operation of the IPTV services, correct IPTV failure and outages.
- Solid knowledge in preparing Business Case and RFP, Documentation & project management skills.
- Actively participate in tender/vendor evaluation and technology evaluation.
- Maintain a keen grasp of current and future networking technologies & IPTV services.
- Develops and approves technical guidelines and standards for engineering and operations teams
- Provide service uptime, statistics and reports.
Requirements
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in ISP/ telecom, IT or similar technology.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering / telecom or higher education.
- Knowledge and technical understanding of receivers and IRDs, encoding/streaming, MPEG4 encoding/transcoding, platforms like Tut's Astria CP etc, Satellite reception equipments & Censoring systems
- Through knowledge and technical understanding of IPTV middleware based on java thick client model like Myrio or equivalent.
- Through knowledge and technical understanding of key based IP conditional access systems like Verimetrix etc
- Through knowledge and technical understanding of VoD, GoD & and other interactive services.
- Knowledge and technical understanding of digital AD-insertion applications.
