Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Purpose of this position is to have candidate an experience with both copper/ civil & Fiber Optic network in addition to the blow:

- Leads the Installations teams to construct Qtel external telecom networks, for:
* civil infrastructure network
* Fiber Optic cable backbone & access networks.
*Copper cable primary and distributions access networks.
- Manages and monitors the performance of the civil/cable contractors.
- Provides guidance on managing / planning / scheduling and monitoring progress of large scale projects.
- Decides upon / Provides guidance on the corrective actions to insure quality & timely installations.
- Sets performance factors and evaluates staff and contractors performance. Derive action plans to maintain quality and insure efficient and cost-effective installations.
- Ensure achieving the section KPI and, if necessary, take correction actions.

Requirements

7 years in External Network planning/installation/maintenance and civil works in telecommunication environment.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills for both internal communications with various Qtel sections / departments as well as with external bodies such as vendors, contractors, governmental organizations, suppliers...etc

Excellent knowledge of telecom networks & infrastructure

Excellent analytical abilities

Excellent project management skills

Excellent contractor management skills

Excellent problem solving

Good understanding of contractual concepts

Good knowledge of financial operating and capital budgets / budgeting / purchasing matters.

Bachelor degree in telecom or equivalent.
