Job description / Role
Candidate must be an experienced Software Application Specialist with significant experience in the development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a computing systems environment. This specialist will provide solutions to technical issues including various software applications as well as 3rd party applications within an infrastructure and security-based environment.
Responsibilities:
Participate in and provide input into the design, re-design and development of software applications
Responsible for the technical implementation of various software
Responsible for ensuring data security and virus protection is maintained and updated
Liaise effectively with peers to ensure that activities are delivered in line with company requirements and that a consistent approach is taken whenever necessary
Lead and support initiatives on behalf of the wider services division management team
Lead and report information relating to software applications installation and test failures, problems, rejections and configuration management i.e. Acceptance Testing Results (ATR)
Assist in the publication of Operational and Maintenance plans and testing
Monitor system defects, non-conformances and issues
Support implementation of the QA/QC procedures and engage in site activities relative to the quality plan
Build and maintain a positive working relationship with the site teams, subcontractors and project stakeholders
Build upon current and develop testing and commissioning policies and procedures within the services division
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
5-7 years experience (Middle East preferred) in Software Application development or design
Experience in homeland security or telecommunications maintenance and troubleshooting
Experience in configuration management, data management, information management, network security, systems integration and systems life cycle management
Proven experience with working / handling dynamic environments
High level of English skills
Experienced with integration procedures and troubleshooting
Experience in the homeland security/defense market
Driving license
