IT Analyst - Digital

Job description / Role

IT Analyst
- Works closely with business units and IT management, staff and vendors to identify: application development solutions, new applications or modifications to existing programs, capability to reuse existing code, integration of purchased solutions or a combination thereof and the appropriate software development methodology alternative
- Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations such as LOE, System Approaches, Outline high-level flow, Release notes etc.
- Develops communications documents [Project status, project milestones, Notification, Training guide, user-manuals etc.
- Collaborates with the team to create and maintain System/Architecture Documentation

Requirements and Software development
- Participates in every aspect of the development and implementation, working with business units to ensure full understanding of the change implications to current business processes.
- Designs and builds solutions deliverables according to specifications, escalates technical design or specification issues to business units/project manager and application development director, and works within a given time frame to complete coding.
- Follows and Enforce good development practices and software development life cycle methodologies throughout solution development.
- Propose technologically sound and innovative solution in your area of expertise.

Quality Assurance
- Serve as QA Analyst/Software Tester/ on development, analysis focus on quality assurance of the software application.
- Receive delivery of software developed by external teams and Vendor, handle deployment and technical troubleshooting
- Bug hunting.
- Conduct integration and system testing on new web-based applications
- Performing integration testing/analysis of system enhancements and discrepancies identified by users.
- Creating test data to validate external interfaces.
- Good in technical writing and documentations.
- Defining, reviewing and/or documenting functional and data requirements based on customer provided 8information gathered through analysis of system, work sessions, and interviews. Conducting interviews and work sessions with users or developers to clarify requirements.

Requirements

General
- Excellent team player with good interpersonal and client interaction skills.
- Good knowledge about Internet environment, Web Applications, Social Networks, Mobile Apps.

Experience:
- Practical experience working with Web Technology
- 2-4 years experience in Software development, IT Analysis.
- Experience of working with development team and solution providers.
- Capable of developing and debugging software using all the technology available
- Insurance: Knowledge of insurance is a plus.

Skills:
- Strong oral and written communications skills.
- Good listening and presentation skills.
- Ability to convince peers with IT and Business.
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills.

Technology:
- Front End: HTML 5, ASP.NET, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX, Web 2.0 technology
- Back End: C#, MFC.Net, .NET, JAVA
- Data: SQL, T-SQL

Education:
- University degree (4-5 years) in computer science or equivalent.

Languages Known:
- English fluently spoken and written
- Arabic is an added advantage
