Operations Engineer - Yamama Project Directorate

Job description / Role

Tasks:
1. Support Operations & Commissioning Team.
2. Reviews of project: P&ID, Piping isometric, Plant Layout, Vendor Documentation, P&ID, Piping isometric, Plant Layout, Constructability, 3-D model, Schedule, SIL, and action upon alarm, Hazard Study, Site Acceptance Test s (SATs). Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).

Functions:
Agree Safe Systems of Work with all interested parties.
Adhere and have input into the Company Permit to Work System
Give input as required to the User Requirement Specification(URS) for a Distributed Control
System (DCS)
Attend Hazard Study
Computer Hardware Factory Acceptance Tests (HFAT), Software Factory Acceptance Tests (SFAT),
Review Functional Design Specification (FDS) for the DCS.
Attend on Site Acceptance Test s (SAT) for a DCS control system.
Input into the compilation the Operations Schedule
Input into the compilation the Operations Estimate
Input into the compilation the Operations 2 Year Spares List
Check Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning progress and quality
Start Operations Log
Set-up site base and compile Operations consumables list
Attend and /or manage pre-start-up safety checks
Witness completion all leak testing
Witness relevant Pre-commission and Commissioning the systems
Walk Down and Punch Listing of Commissioned System/Sub Systems for Operations Handover
and Acceptance
Manage post-start-up modifications
Move team to shift management role if required.
Issue first draft of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Start-up plant.
Check Pre-commission and Commissioning progress and quality
Update Operation documents and Standard Operating Procedures
Assist to Run and Manage plant to pre-determined design production rates and initial output for
the required duration
Verify pipework testing and cleanliness criteria
Compilation and Verification of Punch List.

Requirements

Education:
National Diploma or Degree

Relevant Professional Experience:
15 years industry experience in Operations Engineering

Professional knowledge, skills and capabilities:
Experience in Commissioning and Operations of upstream facilities
Experience in using programs: Microsoft Access / Excel / Word / Project / PowerPoint

Experience in Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning Handover to Operations of H2s Plant and Utilities is a Plus.
