Job description / Role
The primary role for the PB MENA Regional IT Project Technologies Manager will be to drive the development and evolution of MENAs data management systems for use on projects and within PB corporate. This includes ensuring the ongoing development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of document management & engineering data systems and standards.
The following are the expected duties:
To drive data standardization within MENA for corporate and projects using a common suite of delivery technologies.
Meet project functional needs such as document control, project management, risk mitigation, BIM, user management and visibility into virtual project teams.
Independently develop tactical project work plans based on approved advancement strategies.
Interact with projects to continually improve the project technology systems.
Strategically improve the business operations through project technologies and implementing best practice to create advantage in the global engineering marketplace.
Oversee the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of corporate document management & engineering data systems.
Develop project plans and work schedules to deliver innovative improvements.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise support and guidance to projects.
Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Seek input from business units on data management requirements.
Communicate efforts, improvements and features company wide.
Prepare a tactical work-plan for the management of projects and assignments.
Troubleshoot issues and develop workarounds during project work.
Propose ideas and concepts that would provide value to the business.
Work closely with projects using various tools and systems.
Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or Equivalent work experience.
Minimum 3 years experience with EDMS solutions.
Minimum 3 years experience with the Bentley ProjectWise Data Management platform.
In-depth knowledge of Data standards in relation to engineering projects including BIM.
Knowledge of model-based design (BIM) protocols and software, SharePoint and PMIS a plus
Strong verbal and written communications skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
The Candidate is required to have a good working knowledge of data management systems and protocols, most notably the ProjectWise platform by Bentley Systems.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to identify and prioritize tasks in a logical order.
Demonstrated ability to develop and work to a plan and function as a team player.
Strong background in related Autodesk and/or Bentley tools and systems.
