Job description / Role
The Senior Contract Administrator will report hierarchically to the Commercial Manager who in turn reports hierarchically to the Project Director.
As part of his / her assignment, he / she will be responsible for the following tasks:
Is responsible for all the tasks delegated to him/her by Project Director and/or Commercial Manager.
Is responsible for all contract activities between the Employer and the Contractor.
Develops and implements the projects contractual procedures in co-operation with the Commercial Manager and the QA/QC Manager.
Undertakes contractual correspondence with the Employer and his designated representatives, including submission of notices of entitlement in a timely manner and the drafting of claims.
Is responsible of the preparation of contractual disputes.
Analyses all incoming contractual related correspondence and identifies risk to other departments.
Updates the project risk register.
Liaises closely with the Sub-Contract Administrator and covers when needed.
Coordinates any insurance claims and liaises with QDVC head office and/or IP underwriters.
Provides contractual guidance and assistance on the drafting of the interim statements/applications.
Provides contractual guidance and assistance on the analysis of the interim payment certificates.
The administration of Provisional Sums.
The preparation of value engineering proposals.
The administration of Variations.
Requirements
Must hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related subject.
Must have contractual experience on a large scale mega motorway projects.
Must have at least 10 years in a similar capacity with a large international contractor.
Must have experience of Design & Build Contract Agreements.
Must have experience working in a joint-venture.
Must have detailed knowledge of the FIDIC Rainbow Suite.
Must be fluent in English (read / written / spoken).
Arabic language would be advantageous.
Must be computer literate (MS Office etc)
About the Company

The percentages held by each shareholders of the company are as follows:
51% by Qatari Diar Real Estate Investment Company, incorporated in Qatar and acting as the Qatari partner; and
49% by VINCI Construction Grands Projets, incorporated in France and acting as the non-Qatari Partner.
