Customs Clearance Supervisor

Job description / Role

- Supervise the proper customs clearance procedure according to local legislation's.
- Coordinate with governmental authorities the related communication flow.
- Perform/ implement all custom clearance activities; up-coming shipments, documents & transactions.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are cleared within the specific given period.
- Ensure the development of the Custom Clearance Section's work plan, prepare work schedules and expedite work flow to improve efficiency of the Custom Clearance Section.
- Prepare periodic reports of custom clearance section's activities and achievements.
- Ensure correct documentation, filing and data entry for customs clearances info.
- Maintain good relations with the customs authorities/ officials to the standards.
- Ensure timely payments to the customs finance department in coordination with any third party involved (courier companies, customs clearance etc.).
- Check tariffs and valuation of invoices and ensure accurate calculation of fees payable to General Customs Administration.

Requirements

- Bachelor/ Diploma Degree graduate (BA or similar).
- +5 years experience in customs & clearance Ground Operations (Auto Industry know-how would be plus).
- Knowledge of Kuwait's Customs Laws, Regulations & Legislation's.
- Problem solving techniques person.
- Capability of managing clearance/ customs team of representatives.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual (Arabic Mother tongue).
