Job description / Role
This role is a Developers Client Side Project Director Appointment and huge opportunity to work with a leading development group out of DOHA.
The role will lead part an integral 6 person client team who will in their part assess and monitor the PMO, PMC and Consultants in the delivery of the Project Portfolio.
The team will work as the client agent team in the successful driving of the key portfolio projects to ensure their timing and financial success. The Project Director will report to the CEO directly.
This is a non Billable appointment.
The PD will be leading major multi-billion dollar building programs from inception to completion. Projects range from major Hospitality/ Commercial / Residential and Master Planned Urban Areas.
As the Project Director, you will be responsible for project ownership, delivery and commercial success of such schemes. You will be required to lead the internal and external delivery team including design, technical and project management as well as oversee the external development and delivery teams and stakeholders across multiple project packages, to ensure that the desired project objectives are achieved.
As a PD you should be able to program a strategy for success, anticipate challenges and plan to address these before problems are encountered, you should be 100% focused on the task of delivery of major $ Billion Schemes. The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to the following:
Road Map for execution of the development strategy
Planning and Programme Management Control framework,
Project Life Cycle Development
Manage Project budget
Risk Management
Implementation of Reporting, formal reporting process and procedures in line with group policy and practice
People, performance motivation, reporting. Company standard and policies, Strong leadership.
Systems and procedures management
Construction Delivery and management off site and on. Ensuring stakeholders are engaged in the programmed delivery of the project.
Requirements
Requirements;
Project Director level experience in the MENA region delivering large scale Residential, retail and mixed use developments.
You should have a Degree and/ or Masters Degree in a construction related discipline and have a minimum of 18 years experience with at least 5 years working within a development company or PMC delivering as PD Large scale Mixed Use Developments, to a value in excess of $500M USD.
Candidates need to have viable experience in major mixed use delivery as a PD.
At least 20 years post degree experience
Contract Law and commercial legislation
Understanding of principles of commercial risk management
Understanding of principles of project management
Packages on offer to 60-68K Per Month QR, plus Healthcare, holiday allowances. This is a Non Billable role.
