The State of Qatar has been chosen to host the 2022 World Cup, creating a wide range of career opportunities for ambitious engineering and construction professionals. The Arabian Gulf country plans to spend in excess of $100 billion on buildings and infrastructure projects between now and the Games in 2022, including stadia, hotels, tourist attractions, highways, railways, and ports. This is your chance to head up one of the most prestigious projects in Qatar, a project that will be seen by the world in 2022.

We seek a Project Director with significant experience in the successful delivery of complex and demanding multidisciplinary buildings projects. The role will require strong capabilities in project leadership and management, stakeholder management, and multi geography design delivery.

On a day to day basis your responsibilities will include:
Responsibility for the leadership and support of the project team
Ensuring that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies
Ensuring the right resources are utilised effectively at the right time across their team and projects
Ensuring that the project adhere to project lifecycle and that projects led by direct reports adhere to project lifecycle
Ensuring proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across projects
Supervising the project team to identify, assess and manage major project risk and secure the best commercial return from the project
Accountable for delivery to project P&L budgets, forecasts and working capital targets for own projects and projects led by direct reports.

Requirements

As well as being a great team player, to be successful in your application youll need:
BEng / BSc (Hon) or equivalent degree with minimum 15 years post graduate experience
Member of associated Professional body
C.Eng preferred although not essential
Experience and proven ability to lead and manage an engineering team and multi-disciplinary projects
Experience of MS Office Suite of Programmes
Comprehensive experience in associated discipline software.
