Business IS Analyst

Job description / Role

ABOUT CLIENT:
One of the world's leading Gas industry in Middle East.

JOB PURPOSE & SCOPE:

Studies, plans and prepares for business area changes and processes in line with best business practices prevalent in IT industry or recommended by application packages vendors by participating in defining business IS requirements and translates business requirements into functional and technical requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAP Development/Configuration

- Responsible for development and ongoing maintenance/enhancements of business systems.

- Ability to analyze business requirements, review existing systems, define the solution, and translate that into detailed programming designs.

Support

- Attend to incidents as and when they arise (discrepancies/queries either functional or technical).

- Investigate and correct production issues, bugs, system problems.


Project Management

- Provide project management support to Team Leader for any major system acquisition or system integration of diverse business systems.

- Can run and follow up small projects/activities within the team.

Training and Documentation

- Conduct presentations to familiarize users with new technology, features available as part of an ongoing support and commitment for improving quality of application systems.

- Develop and maintain up-to-date and comprehensive user procedures, training user manuals and test scripts.

Requirements

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- BS Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Equivalent

- 6 years experience in systems development, involving a range of business and technical applications preferably in the oil , Gas or Petrochemical industry, covering development work using ABAP, ABAP Webdynpro, workflow, Adobe Forms, Sapscript and structured methodologies.

- SAP certification is a distinct advantage

- Solid background in systems analysis, design, and development

- Must have great technical knowledge of SAP Web Dynpro, SAP ABAP,Data Dictionary, ABAP Objects, User Exists, BAPI, BADI's, SAP Script, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, EDI / IDOCs, ALE, LSMW, BDC and ALV Programming.

- Knowledge of internet technologies. (Web Services, RSS, XML, XSLT, PHP).

- Solid knowledge of Databases. (SQL, mySQL, ABAP SQL).
