Job description / Role
Our client is a joint venture contractor taking a lead role in the construction of the Doha Metro. They are in need of a Structural Engineer with previous metro/rail experience in a similar position. Only candidates with previous experience on metro/rail projects will be considered.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving and controlling their consultant in regards to all structural issues.
- Report to Senior Structural Engineer.
- Organize production of all shop drawings (Bar bending schedules, structural, etc.)
- Represent the joint venture in meetings with their client on all structural matters as needed.
- Responsible for structural design, and related issues.
- Manage designers as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering/Structural Design background required.
- Familiar with relevant design codes: eurocodes, BS, ASHTO.
- Adequate knowledge of BIM.
- MUST HAVE 5+ YEARS EXPERIENCE ON RAIL/METRO PROJECTS.
- Previous GCC experience preferred.
- Civil Engineering degree preferred.
