Project Director (FitOut)

- Outstanding Expatriate Salary Package (6% tax rate)

A Tier 1 global contracting firm, our client has secured a new casino mega tower project in Macau valued at USD4B and now needs to grow their executive team for the delivery phase of the project. This project comprises a new casino, 1,700 key hotel, Performance Lake and other common area facilities. This role as Project Director is responsible for the fit out scope of works for the project from detailed design, construction and handover and delivery in terms of program, quality and budget. Our client seeks a specialist in hotel or casino fit outs.

Reporting to the Head of Construction, the responsibilities of this role comprises to:

- Directing and management of a large fit out scope of works for the project.
- Leadership and management of a large project delivery team.
- Ensure the construction documentation is available on time, sufficiently detailed and coordinated to enable the works to be carried out by sub-contractors and consultants.
- Ensuring material is procured in line with the Client specifications and logistics arrange for delivery to site.
- Providing and maintaining detailed project schedules, action plans, activities and deadlines within parameters of the contract program for sub-contractors.
- Monitoring and revision of project schedule as necessary to incorporate revisions to scope of works, delays and extensions
- Ensuring that the project team quantify and record all delays, abortive works cost, extension of time claims, verbal instructions, variations and omissions
- Ensuring that daily, weekly and monthly site records are maintained by project team
- Ensuring contract closeout procedures are administered in line with the contractual and commercial requirements
- Ensuring quality assurance and quality control protocol are applied and adhered to on the project
- Ensuring safe work environment and employee compliance to safety regulations

Requirements

The attributes we seek comprise:

- Degree qualification in Construction / Engineering / Architecture or comparable diploma / trade experience (ideally Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) considered.
- 16+ years' project management experience with at least 4 years' experience on major commercial projects especially complex projects such as casinos, hospitals, prisons, integrated resorts and high rise experience is essential. Key is the delivery of complex buildings.
- Strong leadership, self-motivation and the ability to maintain a positive work environment is critical to this role.
- Must be able to drive projects for performance results and display proven leadership abilities.
- Major project experience essential (>USD500M) required.
- A strong production bias approach to work and being target driven are traits required.
- Candidates with expatriate experience in South East Asia or other expatriate locations will be highly regarded, although is not essential.
