Structural Engineer (Rail)

Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is a joint venture made up of a multinational contractor taking a lead role in the construction of a rail/metro infrastructure scheme in Doha. Our Client has the urgent requirement for a Structural Engineer with previous metro/rail experience in a similar position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Driving and controlling their consultant in regards to all structural issues.
- Reporting to Senior Structural Engineer.
- Organization of production of all shop drawings (Bar bending schedules, structural, etc.)
- Represent the joint venture in meetings with their client on all structural matters as needed.
- Responsible for structural design, and related issues.
- Manage designers as needed.

* Only candidates with previous experience on metro/rail projects will be considered.

Requirements

Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering/Structural Design background required.
- Familiar with relevant design codes: eurocodes, BS, ASHTO.
- Adequate knowledge of BIM.
- Previous GCC experience preferred.
- Civil Engineering degree
- Must have atleast 5+Years on Rail/Metro Projects
