Job description / Role
We are working on behalf of a leading Architecture and Engineering Consultancy company to find a motivated Senior Interior Designer to work as part of their team in Saudi Arabia.
You will be responsible for developing interiors for a wide variety of building types from the initial concept and preliminary design stages to the final design and tender documentation level.
This will include the preparation of mood boards, material sample boards, development of construction details and coordination of mechanical and electrical services.
The projects will include a selection of; commercial, residential, corporate and mixed use developments.
Reporting to the Head of the Interior Design Department, responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the activities of interior designers and detailers to ensure the proper interpretation of project briefs and client requirements, development of designs and preparation of construction documentation
- Preparation of space allocation programs for new building designs
- Preparation of sketch layouts and details for finalization by interior designers/detailers
- Selection and specification of materials, furniture, fixtures and equipment
- Ensuring that the interior design is properly coordinated with the requirements of other design disciplines
- Ensuing the completeness and quality of the output of interior design team
- Ensuring that work is prepared and completed in accordance with established project design schedules
- Supervision of interior design construction works
Requirements
* Have a degree in Architecture or Interior design
* Have at least 8 years post-graduate experience
* Have previous hotel project experience
* Have a thorough knowledge of all aspects of interior design as part of new build projects as well as refurbishment and remodelling of existing premises.
* Have good freehand presentation skills
* Have an excellent understanding of interior design construction detailing
* The ability to use AutoCAD, 3D and Photoshop presentation software would be a significant advantage.
