Systems Engineering Manager

Job description / Role

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Candidate must be a skilled Systems Engineer with vast experience in system integration/testing and managing technical team that will oversee all areas of installed systems including IT, Networking, Software and Security sensors as well as 3rd party application. This is a key role for the UAE operations with varied scope of responsibilities, influence on the programme outcome and exposure to major decision makers at all levels within the company. The position offers significant career growth and training opportunities for the right individual.

DUTIES:
- Prioritize and allocate team resources to the tasks as well as manage team members on a daily basis
- Evaluate team members performance
- Supervise the quality of sub-system acceptance tests (ATP) done by Field Engineers on site
- Manage and perform the On-Site Acceptance Testing (SAT & OSAT) for all installed systems, applications and software
- Publish Acceptance Testing Results (ATR)
- Manage and monitor system bugs / defects

Requirements

- 8-12 years experience in Systems Engineering (System of System orientated), profound documentation skills
- At least 4 years experience as technical manager/ team leader.
- Experienced with integrations, troubleshooting, and system analysis.
- Experience in the homeland security/ defense market
- Multidisciplinary Knowledge
- Experience in systems integration in a system of systems environment- (not someone that came directly from development)
- Knowledge in networking, Video systems and command control applications

EDUCATION:
B.Sc. in Engineering (preferably Electronics, Mechanics or Aeronautics) from a known university or degree in Systems Engineering
M.Sc an advantage
