Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Assists in executing activities to achieve shift team and unit production goals with a focus on equipment operation and care.
- Operates, controls and maintains a steady state of operation of one more process units and related equipment in the most safe and efficient manner to meet required throughput, maximize yield and meet required quality specifications. Handles all unit emergencies.
- Ensures the operations are in accordance with established procedures and instructions.

Requirements

1. Graduation in Chemical Engineering or Equivalent.
2. Minimum of 7 years experience in plant operation including training, of which at least 3 years should be in an applied position.
3. Complete understanding of all refinery processes and utility systems.
4. Must be well versed with the quality (ISO) and Process Safety Management (PSM) concepts.
5. Must be conversant with the use of DCS, Analogue Control systems, PLCs and Emergency Shutdown System.
