Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Salary: AED 28,000 - 32,000

A high end, luxury retail group is keen to hire a Talent Manager to develop the Retail Talent Management Strategy, tools, and processes needed to support the organization in achieving its strategic objectives ensuring an integrated approach for Talent Management across all the HR practices in the employee lifecycle.

The successful candidate will:
- Develop a Retail Talent Management Strategy and System outlining the guidelines for areas such as succession planning, leadership development, and talent acquisition.
- Participate, as and when required, in the development of the policies and procedures framework that will allow the function to effectively meet its objectives and targets, in line with overall HR policies and procedures, and the Retail Talent strategy and direction.
- Establish the guidelines for the overall management of talent in line with Retail strategic objectives and ensure that the Talent Management Function effectively coordinates with other Retail HR functions in attaining, developing, and retaining organizational talent.
- Work with the Recruitment function to establish mechanisms which encourage internal recruitment to fill vacancies.
- Coordinate with the Training Function in the design and implementation of programs that effectively address identified gaps in talent.
- Work with Employee Relations function on performance management and retention strategies that effectively address any potential talent retention issues.
- Develop mentoring and coaching programs, on boarding program, graduate development programs, and job rotation programs that effectively develop key talent aimed towards nurturing future leaders in conjunction with the Learning and Development team.
- Develop an effective Succession Planning Framework that ensures the availability of capable and experienced personnel for key leadership roles.
- Conduct regular talent reviews to identify the current talent requirements of the Retail. Oversee career plans of the high potentials and future leaders to ensure that they have been progressing through the career plans.
- Consolidate Career Plans across retail and work with relevant departments to ensure that all the needs of career plans have been addressed, either in the form of training programmes, coaching or mentoring programmes.
- Participate in the Dept / Division Talent Panels to facilitate talent identification and support talent calibration discussions to ensure the right talent is identified and mapped to the critical roles.
- Facilitate the talent profiling discussions with the talent to enable alignment of talents aspirations to the organizational needs.
- Identify talent gaps across the teams through discussions with heads of departments and develop action plans on closing those.
- Liaise with management in the identification of top talent for mentoring and succession programs.
- Develop and facilitate job rotation programs that allow employees to gain new experience and expertise across not only functions but business units as well.
- Report the talent matrix to the GM HR including information on current talent, development progress, potential roles (intra / intercompany) being developed for and successes or recommendations on a periodic basis.

Requirements

- 5 to 7 years with 2 years experience leading a talent management team.
- Proficient in English language, Arabic would be an advantage.
- Should have good organizational and planning abilities including the ability to deal with / work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Should be able to communicate effectively and have excellent negotiation skills.
- Should be able to lead, develop and motivate teams.
