Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

1. Meets or exceeds budgeted profit and margin for hotel.
2. Accurately forecasts revenues/expenses for the hotel.
3. Responsible for Directing the Sales team
4. Prepares annual budget that accurately reflects the hotel's business plan.
5. Anticipates revenue/cost problems and manages the timing of discretionary expenditures to stabilize cash flow.
6. Analyzes financial and operating information on ongoing basis to adjust business plans, labor requirements and operating costs.
7. Knows the hotel's demand segments and sources of business for each.
8. Knows the principal competition for each demand segment and can take advantage of the hotel's relative strengths against each.
9. Accurately forecasts occupancy changes based on the changing market conditions (e.g. increased competition).
10. Translates business plans into action and manages those actions toward the achievement of revenue and cost objectives.
11. Maintains guest service as the driving philosophy of the hotel.
12. Maintains F&B quality and service.
13. Develops and implements marketing and sales plans based on demand segments and to maximize REVPAR.
14. Ensures that marketing and sales plans are appropriate for each sales period, including special plans to maximize room revenue during forecasted low occupancy.
15. Coordinates capital projects within budget, on time, and with minimal disruption to the guests
16. Periodically inspects rooms, building exterior, parking lot, etc.
17. Establish and maintain attentive, friendly, courteous, and efficient hospitality at the Front Desk.
18. Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Ability to analyze variances, monitor credit card report and maintain close observation of daily house count.
19. Ensure no-show revenue is maximized through consistent and accurate billing.
20. Work closely with accounting on follow-up items, i.e. returned checks, rejected credit cards, team member discrepancies, etc.
21. Assist in preparation of revenue and occupancy forecasts.

Requirements

1. Must have min 5 years experience and proven strong hotel General Manager, preferably in 4* or 5* Intl chain.
2. Bachelor Degree or Appropriate Certificate in Hospitality/Service field.
3. Must have leadership qualities
4. MBA preferred
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
6. Knowledge of English is a must, Russian highly desirable, Armenian preferable.
7. Must be able to organize time effectively
8. Must be able to work with minimal supervision
9. Must be team oriented
10. Must be able to close successful business deals
11. Must be able to work flexible and extended hours
12. Effectively delegate responsibilities.
13. Excellent knowledge of computers and PMS.
14. Strong customer service orientation and skills.
15. Strong budgetary, projections, and cost control skills.
16. Assume responsibility/accountability.
17. Creative problem solving.
