Job description / Role
Would you like to work on some seriously exciting projects?
Our supervision team is working on some of the most prestigious projects across the UAE. This is your chance to join our growing team. We currently have a number of vacancies for competent senior structural engineers to supervise on both new and ongoing projects.
On a day to day basis on site you will be required to:
- prepare status reports for project civil and structural works with descriptions of design changes with respect to the original design
- supervise project construction activities and monitor the performance of junior engineers
- supervise and monitor the contractors performance in implementation of the civil and structural works and compliance with the approved design, shop drawings and specifications
- checking and verifying on site correctness of all surveying reference works, such as baselines, reference lines, reference points, bench marks, etc. established by the contractor for the project setting out works
- review of materials submitted by the contractor and material approval
- review the method statements submitted by the contactor and approvals
- advise the resident engineer and answer questions related to structural/civil matters.
Requirements
- degree level, or equivalent, in civil/structural engineering
- 10 years experience, preferably in the Middle East
- experience in the construction of major buildings projects such as hotels, high rise, civic buildings and shopping malls
- excellent communication and report writing skills in English.
