Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A leading provider of telemedicine services in Switzerland are rapidly expanding their business and as such have formed a joint venture with an Abu Dhabi government entity to set up and run the first facility of its kind in Abu Dhabi. We are seeking highly qualified Bi-lingual Medical Practitioner to join the team.

They will provide patients with convenient access to quality healthcare 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via telephone. A telemedical consultation is a consultation between a patient and doctor using the telephone. In this case, communication is exclusively verbal. A telephone consultation takes place in real time and does not presuppose that the doctor and patient have already been in physical contact before the discussion.

Task and Responsibilities include:
- Telemedical consultations with community based patients, with the clear goal to close the case as often as possible (40-50%) over the phone or choose and organize a suitable referral.
- Using Medical Guidelines for clinical telemedicine (i.e. medical triage with point of care system, time-related referral system, all aspects of patient management and prescription of drugs) as well as Telemedicine Good Practice guidelines.
- Using an electronic Patient Management System for management and documentation.
- High level of communication between the medical specialties with sophisticated internal as well as external referral pattern to ensure a high quality of patient care.
- Active promotion of telemedical skills such as history taking, current physical status and diagnostic approach in a new and rapidly evolving medical specialty

Requirements

- MBBS with min 3 years of clinical experience is essential, especially in an outpatient setting.
- Possess valid HAAD License
- Professional work attitude with dedicated approach to patient-centered care.
- Team-orientated personality, flexible and able to manage continuously changing workloads.
- Excellent communication skills both spoken and written in English and Arabic
- Able to work in a multidisciplinary team including most medical specialties.
- Excellent IT skills and advanced typewriting skills.
- Willingness to work in a shift pattern including night shifts and weekends.

Working Hours: 5 day a week, 8hr shift per day, alternate shifts (e.g. one will be 9am-5pm, another day will be from 2pm - 10pm)
