Operations Coordinator - Kuwait
POSITION PURPOSE:
Investigate, plan and implement effective and relevant transport methods via air, truck or sea into and out of the Country that best suit the customers needs and are within the guidelines of the company. The coordination will be for the full transportation including customs clearance, documentation, transfer of ownership as well as the consistent and clear communication between customers and/or vendors.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/FUNCTIONS TASKS:
- Coordinating Air, Sea and Land Operations for Import / Export.
- Manage calendars and schedules for crew leaders and crews (daily, weekly and monthly schedule).
- Utilize the company's preferred vendor list and rates to best price and route customer shipments.
- Stay up to date on the rules and regulations of operations within and around the GCC.
- Independently and within the team, construct solutions to challenges and obstacles in logistics operations activity and procedures.
- Continuously communicate with other Move One locations on requirements in order to offer consistent and smooth solutions.
- Clearly communicate with customers on the status at all stages for their shipment(s) from point to point.
- Update Intrack jobs for all air/sea/overland and export shipments.
- Assist Customer Care with answering questions and offering solutions in order to offer the best moving services.
- Complete Costing & Billing for both Import and Export jobs in timely manner as per the SOPs.
- Assist the Quoting Team as well as Moving Department with securing rates and coordination of moves, if required.
- Any other related duties / projects assigned by the direct supervisor from time to time to meet the business exigencies.
- Help identify and develop best practices for GCC operations.
- Proactively manage changes, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Maintain general oversight and ensure accuracy of records including A/R,A/P, Inventory, etc.
- Minimize operational costs, optimize efficiency, increase operations profitability.
- Quotes follow up for all agents and individual customer rates requests.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years Logistics Operations Experience in the GCC.
- Excellent written and verbal English.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with web-based applications.
- Preferred university graduate.
- Knowledge of the GCC Customs Clearance regulations and practices.
