Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The Finance Manager manages the finance department with responsibility for the monitoring, protection, reporting and the overall financial interests of Mindshare by implementing and adhering to financial best practice at all times.

Main duties:
1. To ensure the creation and maintenance of accurate accounts and logs of fixed assets, ledgers, journals, inventory stock-takes, financial reports and all other accounting processes, transactions, credit and collection policies and processes, daily income report, cash and banking procedures.
2. To monitor adequacy of funds and report anticipated cash deficiencies to the MD / Leader and the preparation and payment to creditors and payroll.
3. To facilitate, coordinate and provide all necessary financial information to external auditors to ensure that the financial statements of Mindshare conform to international accounting standards.
4. To maintain and ensure efficient internal financial procedures are followed including purchasing, maintenance and servicing for all equipment and supplies to ensure the smooth & efficient operations of Mindshare.
5. To ensure that the property, assets and liabilities of Mindshare are adequately protected against risk and report any deficiencies to the MD / Leader and/or CFO. The jobholder should also ensure that all such contracts, policies, leases and other legal and financial records are kept secure and up-to-date.
6. To maintain effective procedures for the internal authorization, verification and administration of all personnel information, including leave requests, travel, holidays, sick leave, appraisals, salary details, contracts and all other similar legal documentation in line with local labour law.
7. Additionally the jobholder will monitor client account profitability including and aid in related accountability and billing

Requirements

- Professional accounts degree
- Knowledge of financial best practice,
- 7-10 years experience
- Proficient in Arabic and English
- Residency / Transferable visa for Kuwait
- CPA and audit qualifications
- Previous media industry experience
- Multinational experience would be an advantage.
