Job description / Role

Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility of the supply chain department in head office and coordination of supply chain activities in the field; from calculation of needs, procurement, delivery, storage and distribution of raw materials
- Work closely with SC Manager to provide leadership of operations planning of the supply chain, including systems, staffing and budgeting
- Ensure best practice systems and procedures for the recording and handling of procurement, delivery, receipt, inspection, storage and distribution of all commodities, ensuring compliance to statutory organization
- Liaison with Finance, Supply Chain Manager, field coordinators ro coordinate information required for supply chain, inventories and other data for calculation of supplies required
- Liaise with Finance for payment terms and conditions and timely process of delivery receipts and supplier invoices
- Oversee the management of procurement activities, schedules, including quality control to meet projected needs
- Work with supply chain manager to negotiate and manage the contracts with suppliers
- Obtain best value for money researching alternative sources of supply and optimizing logistics for delivery to warehouse
- Coordinate with procurement and Field staff, inspectors and suppliers to ensure the efficient and timely deliver to all sites and that quality expectations are achieved
- Maintain adequate inventory management system of warehouse
- Develop, introduce and maintain supply chain tools
- Ensure monthly monitoring data is provided promptly with key information summarized for management
- Ensure adherence to the procurement manual/policy guidelines, compliance of regulations and updating manuals as appropriate
- Oversee the organizations logistics including the coordination delivery vehicles

Requirements

- Knowledge of raw materials, distribution of goods and manufacturing processes. And, understanding of business and management principles, leadership strategies and strategic planning. Familiarity with principles of Transportation. Strong mathematics skills.
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, along with forecasting and analyzing data ad financial information.
- The ability to manage people, build teams and communicate effectively.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in similar post
- Professional diploma/certificate in Supply Chain would be a plus
