Job description / Role
- Review contract scope of work and specifications.
- Preparation of Heat Load Calculations using Carrier E20 or equivalent.
- Selection of HVAC Equipment.
- Preparation of Flow Diagrams and Layouts.
- Preparation of Material Take Offs (MTOs) and Equipment/ Material Requisitions for HVAC.
- Upon receiving vendors proposals, review of the technical and commercial proposals and provide evaluation / recommendations for selection and ordering.
- Preparation of Equipment/ Material Approval Requests and follow up on approvals with client.
- Update all design and construction drawings related to HVAC and follow up on approvals.
- Design engineer shall be assisted by a team of ACAD draftsmen for preparation of ACAD drawings and MTOs.
Requirements
- 4-5 years experienced HVAC design engineer having the following qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering degree from a reputable university.
- Excellent academic achievement.
- 4-5 years experience in HVAC systems design and installations.
- Capable of carrying out HVAC heat load calculations, psychrometrics calculations, equipment selection, system design, duct sizing, pipe sizing, pump and fan head calculations.
- capable of developing duct layouts and sectional drawings and plant room designs.
- Excellent knowledge of autocad and ms excel,
- Excellent knowledge of HVAC calculation software like e20-ii hap program
- Good knowledge of HVAC ashrae, smacna & dw144 standards.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC system is an added advantage.
