Head of Materials Management

Job description / Role

We are representing a reputable international EPC organisation which has extensive projects in the Oil and Gas sector across various locations in and around the Gulf region. With a long and successful history in the region, they have built up a reputation for delivering complex and challenging major projects.

Our client are looking for an experienced Head of Materials Management to be based out of the UAE and take full responsibility for all coordinating material, Warehousing and equipment movements between sites, managing the planning, coordination and evaluation of supply chain critical projects.

Requirements

- Degree qualified with 10+ years' experience in a Procurement position
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with an EPC organisation
- Possess strong exposure to strategic sourcing, negotiation, tender management, category management, market analysis and contract management
- Strong management and communication skills with the ability to manage and work within a multi-culture and multi-disciplined team
- Proven experience running the complete source to contract process.
- In-depth experience with reporting tools including MS Excel, MS Access or other ERP systems
- Proven analysis and reporting experience, ideally gained in a direct procurement or purchasing role.
