Employment: Full Time

The Regional Sales manager will be accountable for achieving the Regional sales and probability goals through the effective servicing of key existing and prospective accounts across the MEA, (Middle East and Africa), India, Pakistan and Turkey markets. The role will be responsible for protecting and growing the sales turnover through a targeted customer visit programme and other sales and marketing activities.


The role will drive the continued sales growth to achieve corporate systems sales goals in accordance with the agreed business plan in the region. This will include managing pre and post sales implementation in conjunction with the Regional Sales and Marketing manager to whom the position reports.

Job Description:
- Plan, forecast and implement sales strategies according to management instructions.
- Develop and implement market plans in regional markets to achieve sales goals both in volume and profitability.
- Develop and sustain long-term account development strategies with high value regional existing and potential customers with strong potential for repeat business achieve through primary customer contacts and key account management.
- Plan, manage, forecast and monitor sales so as to effectively optimize profit and volume.
- Implement changes in marketing policy.
- Product revision and pricing. Observe, analyse and adjust plans based on market trends.
- Undertake relevant market research in target markets.
- Understand and analyse market conditions to negotiate optimal pricing agreements with customers.
- Follow up payments and overdues, settle customer queries and complaints according to instructions from quality department OR based on commercial decisions/reality.
- Identify and reach out effectively to new and prospective accounts through cold calling, literature, online flyers, trade shows etc.
- Participate in company's promotion campaigns and marketing projects.
- Manage and monitor reasonable sales expenses to achieve targets.
- Work closely with Customer Support to enhance communication between the customers and production personnel within the group
- Work with existing customers to promote and identify new or alternative alloys for new and existing products.
- Provide customer technical support by selectively bringing plant engineers to customer sites to better understand customer needs and enhance customer relationships

Requirements

- A proven self-driven, team orientated, conscientious, goal oriented senior sales executive with an extensive regional network, ideally with previous experience with Metallurgy (raw material) products sales and distribution in GCC, Africa and Asia.
- Ideally 8-10 years plus work experience in similar industry (B2B) and network of contacts in raw material and non-ferrous metal consumers and distributors.
- Prefer education to graduate level with some technical understanding of the metal/raw materials industry.
- Possess outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational, problem solving, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to travel throughout and build effective relationships in the MEA, Pakistan, India and Turkish markets.
- Overall business experience needs to be strong in the raw materials metallic sector to hit the ground running in terms of picking up key client relationships and understanding the product range.
- Proven capability to grow business and build small teams will be critical to build an effective pre and post sales capability over time.
- Proven consultative sales skills with experience in high value (multi million) accounts with ongoing relationship management the key.
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills in English (an additional language will be an added advantage but is not mandatory)
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Internet and CRM tools.
