Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

To manage the overall product management and business development function of Pipes product line with focus on sustained and profitable growth of the product (focused on maximising business value).

The Product Manager is responsible for product planning, product strategy, product marketing and customer retention (i.e. MRD and PRD). This includes managing the product throughout the product lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with production, procurement, sales and marketing to deliver winning products.

Moreover, the product manager will be in full charge of getting the product approved and specified for targeted projects. Therefore, the Product Manager will be working closely and deliberately with 3 different groups: Project Owners (i.e. ministries and gov. entities), Project Engineering Consultants and Contractors. The product manager will be responsible to get the products approved and registered with all parties involved in the selling cycle mentioned above. As a key success factor, the product manager must possess an in-depth knowledge of project products registration, approval and pre-qualification cycles with: project owners, engineering consultants and contractors.

The job also includes providing technical support to the sales engineers team throughout the selling cycle. i.e. prepare technical prequalification materials, present product and materials to parties involved in the selling cycle. He should gain a deep understanding of alternative competitive products (i.e. clay pipes), customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate value, messaging and positioning that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth and profitability.

On the other hand, the product manager, will be spending considerable time in the market, with stakeholders to monitor projects offering in the market at initial and early stages. He will be in charge of providing needed support to engineering consultants during initial phases and pre-bidding phase. In addition, to approach projects owners and initiate and monitor the awareness creation and approval process.

Requirements

- Min. 5 years exp. in the Saudi market with a similar role and responsibilities in any industry that sells to the same market and follow the same cycle.
- Solid experience and proven track record in registering, qualifying and approving products with engineering consultants.
- Ability to work effectively & influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Project management skills
- Must be able to travel 30% of the time (This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites)
- Bilingual (Arabic & English)
- Working Knowledge of CRM
