Job description / Role
The Role
Perform all project coordination activities and support the Manager, Projects Department for the effective tracking, monitoring and review of New Development Gas Projects through all stag or the project life cycle to ensure that the projects are implemented successfully in line with approved project parameters and the vision, mission and strategy of the client.
WORK PERFORMED AND MAIN ACCOUNTABILITY
Policies, Processes, Systems, Procedures and Controls
- Support the development of and Implement all Department policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures and Internal controls, so that the Department objectives are accomplished safely, reliably and cost effectively.
Budgets and Work Plans
- Provide inputs to the Department Manager for the development of Budgets and Work plans for the Department.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Support the HSE culture and comply with Internal HSE policies, processes, procedures and standards
- Support the implementation of a sustainability culture and proactively seek to incorporate sustainability into the ongoing work practices
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Implement new tools and techniques to Improve the quality and efficiency of delivering Company services through improved operational processes
Management Information Systems (MIS) and Reports
- Maintain the Department MIS and prepare progress reports in line with the Corporate Governance System to deliver timely and accurate information which will support the efficient delivery of the Gas Directorate's objectives
- Prepare weekly reports on the project progress and activities, Including areas of concern and ensure distribution to approved distribution list
Project Management
- Assist In the follow up, review and evaluation of the progress of the New Gas Development Projects to ensure that they are successfully executed within approved budget, timeline and quality specifications and that they meet the required life cycle, capacity, quality and HSE standards and its compliance with Abu Dhabi laws, policies, regulations and the client's guidelines
- Ensure proper coordination of project activities with all the parties involved in the project for effective progress and successful completion of the project.
- Ensure Interface issues of the project are resolved and reported to the management
- Assist in promoting fairness and transparency in dealing with third parties such as project consultants, contractors and manufacturers to ensure following approved systems and procedures are in place
Project Charter
- Assist in the study and scrutiny of the detail draft .Project Charter which Includes scope, budget. schedule, delegation of authority and procedures, etc. project execution strategy, statement or requirements, basis of design and project organization, In order to review and check for any missing detail and comprehensiveness of documentation
Project initiation
- Assist in the detailed analysis of the project study prepared by the project consultant and verify the feasibility of the project In order to recommend the project to the shareholders
Requirements
- Degree In Engineering with specialized training In Project Management
- 6 years or more of relevant professional experience In Engineering projects in the Oil and Gas industry
- Demonstrates good knowledge of the Oil and Gas industry the specific domain, Good knowledge of industry best practice and 'technology trends, and of applicable legislation and regulations, good Communication skills, Including presentation and domain specific writing skills, Interpersonal skills, domain specific professional skills, Concern for efficiency and effectiveness, good PC spread sheet skills for analysis and Power Plant skills for developing presentations.
