Job description / Role

This role will support the Financial Controller to help deliver business objectives and have the intellect to add value beyond simply reporting the monthly numbers.

This position will support the FC to ensure that the business achieves monthly results and will play an active role in helping their business partners to achieve the results rather than simply reporting on how well they have done.

The candidate will bring the highest legal and ethical standards. Reporting to the Finance Controller, Middle East, this roles deliverables include;

- Ensuring that adequate systems of internal control and suitable monitoring procedures are in place to underpin the integrity of the financials for Companys. Ensure that all business risks are being properly identified, addressed and reported to protect Companyss assets. This should be compliant with GAAP, SOX, Tax and Corporate accounting policy guidelines. Develop controls to mitigate gaps (eg obsolescence reports, asset impairment review processes, work instruction development etc).
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure across both SAP and HFM. Ensure all controls for Company are appropriate and all processes are documented.
- Local statutory reporting and co-ordination with external auditors and other parties to maintain compliant and timely reporting ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Delivering a timely and accurate monthly close, in accordance with US and local statutory GAAP for Company through both SAP locally and bridging across to HFM.
- Providing financial support and leadership to all Companys cross-functional teams to establish goals, plans and policies.
- Analysing and working to develop more efficient processes, maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Ensuring appropriate funding for the business and cash flow forecasting.
- Performing other duties or participating on special projects as assigned by management or other business partners

Requirements

- Supporting the FC to achieve timely and accurate OSB, Trial Balance and reporting pack submission through HFM ensuring reconciliation into SAP every month, ensuring all new accounts are added and mapped appropriately for US GAAP reporting purposes.
- Reporting to the FC monthly SG&A review and head count analysis.
- Pass absorption and period cost reviews.
- Continuous support to CFS related to AP, AR, Inter - co, Treasury and GL.
- Miscellaneous information to employees.
- Develop controls to mitigate gaps as appropriate and documentation.
- Analyse and develop more efficient processes, maintaining a high level of accuracy and with a focus on pro-active business control.
- Supporting the FC and liaising with all relevant stake holders for the preparation of budget, statutory accounts, audit/ tax, and third-party partners.
- Properly contribute to the delivery of the business objectives and that their intellect enables them to add value beyond simply providing periodic (monthly/ quarterly) numbers and give financial input toward strategic and operational decision-making through every part of the business.
- Audit experience with a process and control orientation would be beneficial.
- Be a fact-based driven individual, with a strong appetite for detail.
- They must have the will to win but balanced with the highest legal and ethical standards.
- Based in Khobar but prepared to travel to Dubai in particular supporting the ME commercial planning/ reporting cycles and the close and reporting processes.
- A University degree-educated, part qualified / qualified chartered accountant.
