Combine Harvester Operator Arable Agriculture - Uganda

Millar Cameron is an international recruitment agency specializing in finding excellent professionals for placements in Sub-Saharan agriculture and forestry positions. We are currently representing a leading European agribusiness and farming company and are aiding them in their search for a Combine Harvester Operator to join them on a large arable agriculture operation in Uganda.

You would be working for a fantastic company on a truly operational role. This is an opportunity for a young professional to experience an African adventure and live and work in Uganda, whilst being part of and contributing to the operations of a very large agribusiness company.

The Combine Harvester Operator would be working on:
- Operating Claas Lexion harvesters for 1500 hectares of maize, sunflower and soya,
- Supervising and training the on-site personnel on use of these machines
- Organizing the logistics behind the harvest, such as chaser bins, grain dams and grain bunkers
- After Harvesting, you will be working on the planting of various crops as well

Requirements

- Experience with combine harvesters in the past, working on arable agriculture operations
- After Harvesting, Experience with John Deere with cultivation and planting equipment
- Some technical knowledge of the maintenance and basic repairs,
- Ability to work in a team
- And an enthusiastic and energetic approach for making an exciting adventure a reality.
