Project Manager

Job description / Role

A Global UK Technology company within the leisure and entertainment industry are urgently seeking a Project Manager to deliver multiple complex high profile projects across the UAE.

Role description:
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading and developing, in conjunction with stakeholder requirements, a definition of the project activities. The project manager will ensure activities are effectively resourced and manages relationships with a wide range of groups (including all project contributors). The project Manager will also be responsible for;

- Managing the work of consultants, sourcing suppliers, allocating and utilising resources in an efficient manner and maintaining a co-operative, motivated and successful delivery team.
- Oversee entire project lifecycle, within the agreed budget, timescales, and quality expectations.
- Managing and leading the project team on a local and international basis to ensure clear communication to multiple international sites.
- Lead start-up meetings, ensure clarity of scope, mobilisation of delivery teams.
- Detailed project planning and control, developing and maintaining a detailed project plan, technical drawings and risk management in line with Prince 2 methodology.
- Managing project deliverables in line with the project plan.
- Providing regular business reports to the programme manager and project sponsor / steering group.
- Managing consultancy / suppler input within the defined budget.
- Final approval of the design specification.
- Definition and management of the User Acceptance Testing programme.
- Identifying training needs and devising and managing training programme.
- To identify and communicate early in the process and system or infrastructure requirements currently not in place which are necessary to deliver the project.
- To ensure that effective risk management is in place for all projects.
- Provide project closure and sign off from key stakeholders. Undertake post project reviews and lessons learnt.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in a related Discipline
- Project Management Qualification
- Experience of delivering projects in leisure industry within the UAE and /or internationally.
- 2-3 years experience in the region.
- Experience and knowledge of appropriate project management processes /methodologies/ software
- Technically knowledgeable in several disciplines
- Experience of product management and acting as product owner
- Experience of delivery of building or CCTV projects and working with a variety of trades
- Business acumen and commercial awareness
- Capable of forming relationships with third parties such as sub-contractors, customers
